History of the Holocaust: An Overview, pp. 6-7 states that between 1942 and 1944 Jews were deported to “extermination camps” that were killing centers equipped with gassing facilities, and it explains that victims were forced into gas chambers disguised as shower rooms, where carbon monoxide or Zyklon B was used to asphyxiate them.
The extermination-camp PDF does not just mention gas chambers in passing. It describes their layout, deception methods, operation, and later expansion in detail. Yitzhak Arad, Extermination Camps of Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka, pp. 14-15, 23-25 describes tiled chamber walls, fake shower heads, pipes that actually carried poison gas, doors that were bolted from the outside, corpse-removal routes, and later construction of larger gas chambers to increase extermination capacity. That is operational description, not myth language.
The decision-making PDF explains why stationary gas chambers were developed in the first place: to make the mass murder of millions more efficient and less visible than mass shootings. Bogdan Musial, The Decision-Making Process for the Mass Murder of the Jews, pp. 22-24 says the Nazis saw shootings as too burdensome and insufficient for disposing of millions, and that death camps with stationary gas chambers became the technical prerequisite for the “Final Solution.”

• Another move is to blur delousing facilities with homicidal gas chambers. That confusion works poorly against the PDFs here because they describe extermination chambers tied to transports, deception procedures, corpse disposal, and mass killing capacity, not hygiene installations.

• A narrower fallback claim says some camps had mixed functions, especially Auschwitz and Majdanek. That point is partly true, but it does not rescue the myth claim, because Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka are described in the PDFs as extermination camps built around the killing process itself.
