Used labels inside PRIMARY SOURCES or source lists to quickly show how useful a source is for the claim.
These labels are not judgments of whether a source is “good” or “bad” in general. They only describe how strongly the source supports the specific claim framework, counterpoint, or evidence section being used:
↑↑↑ best source!
label for a source that strongly supports the claim response and should usually be checked first.
↑↑↑ mid source
label for a source that is useful, but not the strongest anchor. It may support only part of the point, provide background context, or work better as a secondary support source.
↑↑↑ worst source! 😭
label for a source that is still relevant, but weaker for this specific claim framework. This does not mean the source is bad. It may be weaker because it only gives context, presents the opposition side, supports a narrower point, or does not directly prove the main counterpoint.
↑↑↑ Best source!
Rare label. Used only when a source deserves special attention because it is unusually strong, direct, primary, or central to the claim.
Disclaimer
These are the main source-declaration labels used across the project. Some notes may include extra context-specific labels, but the core labels to know are: ↑↑↑ best source!, ↑↑↑ mid source, ↑↑↑ worst source! 😭, and ↑↑↑ Best source!.
The labels help readers quickly judge which sources matter most for a claim.
